Description

These meatballs in tomato sauce are a comforting and flavorful dish, perfect for a family meal or a special occasion. The combination of ground beef, pine nuts, raisins and parmesan cheese creates a juicy texture and delicious flavor. The homemade tomato sauce, prepared with onion, crushed tomato and peeled whole tomato, gives it an authentic and traditional touch. They are prepared in just over an hour, and the result is a dish that everyone will love. Serve with spaghetti or white rice for a complete meal!

Ingredients (14 ingredients)

  • 500 gramos ground beef
  • 150 gramos breadcrumbs
  • 2 piece eggs
  • 30 gramos pine nuts
  • 30 gramos raisins
  • 250 gramos onion
  • 40 gramos olive oil
  • 250 gramos crushed tomato
  • 1 pinch nutmeg
  • salt
  • 100 gramos parmesan cheese
  • 250 gramos peeled whole tomato (canned)
  • 100 gramos flour
  • 0.5 litro sunflower oil

Preparation (7 steps)

Preparation of the meatball mixture

In a large bowl, mix 500 g of ground beef, 150 g of breadcrumbs, 2 eggs, 30 g of pine nuts, 30 g of raisins, a pinch of nutmeg, salt to taste and 100 g of grated parmesan cheese. Mix well with your hands until you obtain a homogeneous mixture.

Chopping the onion

Put 250 g of onion in the Thermomix glass and chop for 3 seconds at speed 5.

Sautéing the onion

Add 40 g of olive oil to the Thermomix glass and sauté the onion for 3 minutes at 120°C at speed 1.

Cooking the tomato sauce

Incorporate 250 g of crushed tomato and 250 g of peeled whole tomato (canned) into the Thermomix glass. Add salt to taste and program 10 minutes at 100°C at speed 2.

Forming and flouring the meatballs

With the meat mixture, form meatballs of the desired size. Lightly flour the meatballs with 100 g of flour.

Frying the meatballs

In a large frying pan, heat 0.5 liters of sunflower oil. Fry the meatballs in the hot oil until they are golden brown on all sides. Remove the meatballs from the pan and place them on absorbent paper to remove excess oil.

Final cooking of the meatballs in sauce

Pour the tomato sauce from the Thermomix into a saucepan. Add the fried meatballs to the saucepan with the tomato sauce. Cook over medium heat for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
