Description

This meatball stew with potatoes is a comforting and flavorful dish, perfect for cooler days. The combination of the tender meat of the meatballs with the soft potatoes and vegetables creates a symphony of textures and aromas that will transport you to grandma's kitchen. I prepare it often because it is very easy to make and always triumphs at home. In addition, it can be prepared in advance and reheated, which makes it an ideal option for family meals or to take to work. A simple but delicious dish that will warm your soul!

Ingredients (11 ingredients)

  • 24 piece Meatballs
  • 4 piece Large potatoes
  • 1 piece Large onion
  • 0.5 piece Green pepper
  • 0.25 piece Red pepper
  • 2 dedos Leek
  • 3 dientes Garlic
  • 3 tbsp Fried tomato
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • 0.75 l Hot water or meat broth
  • Salt

Preparation (5 steps)

Chop the vegetables

Thermomix® Setting
5 Seg./Speed 5

Introduce the onion, garlic, green and red peppers, and leek into the bowl. Program 5 sec./Stufe 5. Lower the remains of the walls of the bowl with the spatula.

Sauté the vegetables

Thermomix® Setting
5 min/248°F/Speed 1 120

Add extra virgin olive oil to the bowl. Program 5 Min./120°C/Stufe 1.

Brown the meatballs

Thermomix® Setting
5 min/Varoma/Giro a la izquierda/Speed 1 Varoma Reverse

Remove the vegetables from the bowl and reserve. Add a little more extra virgin olive oil to the bowl. Introduce the meatballs and program 5 Min./Varoma/Giro a la izquierda/Stufe 1. (They will not brown completely, but they will seal a little).

Add the vegetables and tomato

3 min/248°F/Giro a la izquierda/Speed 1 120 Reverse

Add the reserved vegetables and the fried tomato to the bowl. Program 3 Min./120°C/Giro a la izquierda/Stufe 1.

Add the broth and potatoes

Thermomix® Setting
15 min/212°F/Giro a la izquierda/Speed 1 100 Reverse

Add the hot water or meat broth and salt to taste. Peel and cut the potatoes into medium pieces. Introduce the potatoes into the bowl. Program 15 Min./100°C/Giro a la izquierda/Stufe 1.
