Description

These meat dumplings are a hearty dish that is quick to prepare and tastes good to the whole family. I like to make them when things need to be quick, but still something hearty should be on the table. The minced meat is formed into small dumplings with toast, onions and egg and fried in the pan. There is a delicious sauce with vegetable broth and wild cranberries. Boiled potatoes or mashed potatoes go particularly well with it. A real classic that is always enjoyed!

Ingredients (14 ingredients)

  • 2 Scheibe Toast bread
  • 100 ml Milk
  • 2 Stück Onions
  • 500 g mixed minced meat
  • 1 Stück Egg (size M)
  • nach Geschmack Salt
  • nach Geschmack Pepper
  • nach Geschmack Sweet paprika
  • 6 EL Oil
  • 1 Stück Cucumber
  • 3 EL Vinegar
  • nach Geschmack Sugar
  • 150 g Wild cranberries
  • 100 ml Vegetable broth (instant)

Preparation (7 steps)

Chop toast bread

Thermomix® Setting
10 sec/Speed 6

Put 2 slices of toast bread in the mixing bowl and chop for 10 sec./speed 6. Transfer and set aside.

Chop onions

Thermomix® Setting
5 sec/Speed 5

Put 2 onions in the mixing bowl and chop for 5 sec./speed 5. Scrape down from the edge with the spatula.

Prepare minced meat

Put the chopped toast bread, the chopped onions, 100 ml milk, 500 g mixed minced meat and 1 egg (size M) in a bowl. Season with salt, pepper and sweet paprika and mix well.

Shape and fry meat dumplings

Form small dumplings from the minced meat mixture. Heat 6 tbsp oil in a pan and fry the meat dumplings in it until golden brown on all sides.

Prepare cucumber salad

Peel 1 cucumber and cut into thin slices. Mix in a bowl with 3 tbsp vinegar, a little sugar, salt and pepper.

Prepare sauce

Put 100 ml vegetable broth (instant) and 150 g wild cranberries in the mixing bowl and heat for 5 min./100°C/speed 1.

Arrange

Serve the meat dumplings with the cranberry sauce and cucumber salad.
