Description

This fried pork with garlic and coriander is a simple and tasty recipe, perfect for a quick weekday meal. The combination of crispy garlic and fresh coriander gives a special touch to the pork. I usually prepare it when I have little time, but I want something rich and comforting. Soy sauce and oyster sauce (optional) enhance the umami flavour of the dish. It can be accompanied with white rice for a complete meal or enjoyed alone as an appetiser. I hope you like it as much as I do!

Ingredients (7 ingredients)

  • 250 g pork
  • 1 piece head of garlics
  • 0.5 tsp white peppercorns
  • 1 poco coriander
  • 0.5 tbsp soya sauce
  • 0.5 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tsp sugar

Preparation of the garlic and coriander

Peel the garlic cloves and remove the toughest outer layers. Place the garlic cloves in the Thermomix bowl along with the white peppercorns and chopped coriander stems. Chop 5 sec./Stufe 5. Reserve the mixture.

Marinating the pork

Cut the pork into thin, small pieces. In a bowl, mix the pork with the salt, sugar, soya sauce, oyster sauce (if used) and the reserved garlic, pepper and coriander mixture. Mix well and marinate for at least 10 minutes.

Chop the marinated pork

Place the marinated pork in the Thermomix bowl and chop 3 Seg./Stufe 4. Remove and reserve.

Frying the pork

Heat a finger of vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat. When the oil is hot, add the marinated pork and fry until golden brown and cooked through. Stir occasionally to ensure even cooking. Remove the pork from the pan and place it on absorbent paper to remove excess oil.

Serve

Serve the fried pork hot, garnished with fresh coriander leaves. It can be accompanied with white rice.
