Description

This caramelised chicken with barbecue sauce is a simple and tasty dish, perfect for a quick weekday meal or a relaxed brunch. The sauce, prepared with sugar, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, honey and ketchup, offers a perfect balance between sweet, sour and spicy. I particularly like how quickly it can be prepared: in less than 30 minutes, you have a complete and delicious dish. The chicken, cut into strips, cooks quickly and soaks up all the flavours of the sauce. Feel free to accompany this dish with basmati rice or grilled vegetables for an even more complete meal. A real treat for the taste buds!

Ingredients (10 ingredients)

  • 6 tbsp sugar
  • 4 tbsp vinegar
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 2 pinch fine salt
  • 6 tbsp honey
  • 10 tbsp ketchup
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • 1 piece onion
  • 4 clove garlic
  • 4 piece chicken breasts

Preparation of the barbecue sauce

In the Thermomix bowl, pour 6 tbsp of sugar, 4 tbsp of vinegar, 2 tbsp of Worcestershire sauce, 2 pinches of salt or fine salt, 6 tbsp of honey, 10 tbsp of ketchup, 3 tbsp of oil, 1 onion and 4 cloves of garlic. Mix 5 Sec./Stufe 5.

Cooking the barbecue sauce

Cook the sauce in the Thermomix for 5 Min./100°C/Stufe 2.

Cooking the chicken

In a frying pan, brown 4 chicken breasts, cut into strips, in a little oil. Cook for 5 minutes.

Mixing the chicken and the sauce

Thermomix® Setting
10 min/212°F/Linkslauf Speed 1 100 Reverse

Pour the cooked chicken into the Thermomix bowl containing the barbecue sauce. Cook for 10 Min./100°C/Linkslauf Stufe 1.
