Description

This chicken stuffed with blue cheese from Auvergne and grilled bacon is a tasty and comforting dish, perfect for a festive meal or a friendly dinner. The combination of tender chicken, creamy blue cheese and crispy bacon is a delight for the taste buds. I have been preparing this dish for years and it is always a sensation with my guests. The preparation is simple and quick thanks to the Thermomix®, which allows you to chop the ingredients and mix the flavors in a blink of an eye. Feel free to add some fresh herbs to further flavor the dish. Serve with a gratin dauphinois or a green salad for a complete and balanced meal.

Ingredients (8 ingredients)

  • 4 piece chicken breasts
  • 4 slice thin bacon slices
  • 250 g blue cheese from Auvergne
  • 2 piece tomatoes
  • 1 c. à s. sunflower oil
  • 1 branche flat parsley
  • to taste salt or fine salt
  • to taste pepper

Preparation (4 steps)

Seasoned chicken

Salt and pepper the chicken breasts. In a pan, heat the sunflower oil. Sauté the chicken breasts for 7 to 8 minutes over medium heat, turning them from time to time. Set aside.

Tomatoes and cheese prepared

Rinse the tomatoes. Cut the cheese and tomatoes into slices. Let the chicken cool slightly on a rack, then preheat the oven to 200°C.

Stuffed and wrapped chicken

With a sharp knife, cut the chicken breasts lengthwise without going all the way through. Spread the tomatoes and cheese in the space formed. Wrap each piece of chicken with a thin slice of bacon and place in an ovenproof dish as you go.

Oven cooking

Bake for 8 minutes at 200°C.
