Description

This crispy fried chicken is a real comfort food! The spiced breading makes it irresistible, perfect for a casual dinner or a party with friends. I often prepare it when I fancy something tasty and quick. The secret is the double breading and the passage in the freezer, which guarantees a super crispy crust. Serve it hot with your favorite sauces and french fries for a complete and delicious meal. Also ideal for an outdoor picnic!

Ingredients (11 ingredients)

  • Chicken
  • 150 g Flour
  • 2 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Cumin
  • 2 tsp Four spices
  • 2 tsp Onion powder
  • 2 piece Eggs
  • 100 g Breadcrumbs
  • Peanut oil
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Black pepper

Preparation of the spices

Thermomix® Setting

Pour 150g of flour into the bowl. Add 2 teaspoons of garlic powder, 1 teaspoon of cumin powder, 2 teaspoons of mixed spices, 2 teaspoons of dehydrated onion flakes, a couple of pinches of salt and freshly ground black pepper. Mix to combine the ingredients. Transfer to a bowl.

Preparation of the eggs

Whisk 2 eggs in another bowl using a fork.

First breading

Dip the chicken pieces first in the spiced flour and then in the egg, then arrange them in a baking tray covered with baking paper.

Partial freezing

Put the tray in the freezer for about 20 minutes, it will help to set the breading.

Second breading

Take the chicken and proceed to make a second breading: dip the chicken again in the spiced flour, then in the eggs and finally in 100g of breadcrumbs.

Frying the chicken

Heat plenty of peanut oil in a pan or fryer, then dip the chicken pieces to fry them until cooked and golden brown.

Draining and serving

Remove the chicken from the oil and drain well, then place it on sheets of absorbent paper and serve it very hot.
