Description

This chicken stewed with Sherry is a comforting and tasty dish, perfect for autumn or winter evenings. The combination of tender chicken, green olives and Sherry creates a rich and fragrant sauce. I have been preparing this dish for years and it is always a hit at home. It is ideal for a family meal or a dinner with friends. Preparation is quick and easy, and the Thermomix® makes cooking much easier. Feel free to add other seasonal vegetables for an even more complete version. A real treat!

Ingredients (10 ingredients)

  • 1 morceau Chicken
  • 2 piece Onion
  • 2 clove Garlic
  • 1 feuille Bay leaf
  • 1 c. à café Chili powder
  • 24 piece Green olives
  • 1 c. à café Oregano
  • 15 cl Sherry
  • 1 c. à soupe Flour
  • 2 c. à soupe Water

Preparation (4 steps)

Put the chicken in the Thermomix bowl and cover with water. Add the bay leaf and a pinch of salt. Set the Thermomix to 100°C/Stufe 1/20 Min.

Add the onion cut into quarters, the minced garlic, the oregano and the chili powder in the Thermomix bowl. Set the Thermomix to 100°C/Stufe 1/30 Min.

Incorporate the green olives and the Sherry in the Thermomix bowl. Set the Thermomix to 100°C/Stufe 1/10 Min.

Thickening of the sauce

Thermomix® Setting
212°F/Speed 2/4 min 100

Mix the flour with water in a small bowl. Pour the mixture in the Thermomix bowl. Set the Thermomix to 100°C/Stufe 2/4 Min.
