Description

This plum compote from the Thermomix® is a fruity dessert with plums, sugar, cinnamon and lemon juice. The vegan compote is prepared in just 20 minutes and yields 4 servings. Ideal as a dessert, side dish or for sweet cravings in autumn. Prepared quickly and easily with the Thermomix®. Perfect for light cuisine and as a fruity addition to many dishes.

Ingredients (4 ingredients)

  • 600 g Plums
  • 2 EL Sugar
  • 0.5 TL Cinnamon, ground
  • 2 Spritzer Lemon juice

Preparation (5 steps)

Prepare plums

Wash 600g plums, pat dry, halve and pit.

Caramelize sugar

5 min/248°F/Speed 2 248°F

Put 2 tbsp sugar in the mixing bowl and caramelize for 5 minutes/120°C/speed 2. Occasionally push down with the spatula.

Sauté plums

5 min/248°F/Gentle stir speed 248°F Reverse

Add the plum halves to the mixing bowl and sauté for 5 minutes/120°C/reverse/gentle stir setting until juice forms.

Add cinnamon and cook

Thermomix® Setting
5-10 min/212°F/Gentle stir speed 212°F Reverse

Add ½ tsp cinnamon and cook covered for 5-10 minutes/100°C/reverse/gentle stir setting until the plums are soft. Occasionally push down with the spatula.

Add 2 splashes of lemon juice and stir briefly. /none/gentle stir setting/10 sec.
