Description

This swede purée with potatoes is a hearty and satisfying main course that is especially good in the cold season. Preparation in the Thermomix® is quick and easy, so the dish is on the table in under an hour. The purée is ideal as a side dish to meat or fish and is also suitable as a vegetarian dish. It is rich in fiber and vitamins and therefore a healthy meal for the whole family.

  • 1 Stück Onion
  • 1 EL Oil
  • 500 g Swede
  • 500 g Potatoes
  • 250 ml Vegetable Broth
  • 250 ml Water
  • 20 g Butter
  • 100 ml Milk
  • nach Geschmack Salt
  • nach Geschmack Pepper
  • nach Geschmack Nutmeg
  • Meat (optional)

Preparation (7 steps)

Chop the onion

Peel and halve the onion and place in the mixing bowl. Chop for 3 sec./level 5.

Sauté the onion

Add oil and sauté for 3 min./120°C/level 1.

Prepare and add the vegetables

Peel and dice the swede and potatoes and place in the mixing bowl. Add vegetable broth and water.

Cook the vegetables

Cook for 25 min./100°C/level 1.

Purée

Thermomix® Setting
30 sec/Speed 8-10

Add butter and milk and purée for 30 sec./level 8-10. Increase the speed slowly.

Season with salt, pepper and nutmeg and stir for another 10 sec./level 3 if necessary.

Fry the meat

Fry the meat in a separate pan.
