Description

This creamy pasta salad with cheese and pickles is a fresh and delicious dish, perfect for summer days or for taking on a picnic. The combination of pasta, cheese, sweet and sour pickles and crispy onion, all bathed in a creamy sauce of mayonnaise and sour cream, makes it an irresistible option. The recipe is very simple and quick to prepare, ideal for when you don't have much time to cook. In addition, it can be prepared in advance and stored in the refrigerator until ready to serve. A guaranteed success on any occasion!

Ingredients (9 ingredients)

  • 400 gr pasta
  • 300 gr block cheese
  • 250 gr mayonnaise
  • 120 gr sour cream
  • 120 gr pickles
  • 1 piece onion
  • to taste Dill
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste pepper

Preparation (7 steps)

Pasta cooking

Thermomix® Setting
12 min/212°F/Speed 1 100

Place 400 g of pasta in the Thermomix bowl. Add water to cover the pasta and a pinch of salt. Program 12 Min./100°C/Stufe 1. Verify that the pasta is al dente. If you need more time, program a few additional minutes.

Cool and drain the pasta

Once the pasta is cooked, pour it into a colander and rinse with cold water to stop cooking. Drain the pasta well and reserve.

Chop the onion and pickles

Thermomix® Setting
3 sec/Speed 5

Place 1 onion in the Thermomix bowl and chop 3 Sek./Stufe 5. Remove and reserve. Next, place 120 g of pickles in the Thermomix bowl and chop 3 Sek./Stufe 5. Remove and reserve (save the pickle juice).

Cut the cheese

Cut 300 g of block cheese into small cubes and reserve.

Mix the ingredients

In a large bowl, mix the cooked and drained pasta with the chopped onion, chopped pickles and diced cheese. Mix well and reserve in the refrigerator.

Prepare the sauce

Thermomix® Setting
10 sec/Speed 3

In the Thermomix bowl, place 250 g of mayonnaise, 120 g of sour cream, a splash of pickle juice (approximately 20 ml), 3 tbsp of dried dill, salt and pepper to taste. Mix 10 Sek./Stufe 3.

Mix the sauce with the pasta

Pour the sauce over the pasta and mix well so that all the ingredients are covered. Let stand in the refrigerator for at least an hour before serving.
