Description

Puff pastry with a savory ham and onion filling, perfect as finger food or a snack.

Ingredients (10 ingredients)

  • 1 Packung Puff pastry (from the refrigerated section)
  • 1 Stück Onion
  • 100 g Diced ham
  • 2 EL Oil
  • 2 Stück Eggs
  • 100 ml Cream
  • 0.5 TL Salt
  • 0.25 TL Pepper
  • 1 Prise Nutmeg
  • 1 Stück Egg yolk (for brushing)

Preparation (9 steps)

Chop onion

Put onion in the mixing bowl and chop for 3 sec./speed 5.

Sauté onion

Add oil to the onions in the mixing bowl and sauté for 3 min./120°C/speed 1.

Add ham and spices

Add diced ham, salt, pepper and nutmeg to the mixing bowl and mix for 2 min./100°C/reverse speed 1.

Stir eggs and cream

Put eggs and cream in the mixing bowl and stir for 20 sec./speed 3.

Complete filling

Add the ham and onion mixture to the egg and cream mixture in the mixing bowl and stir in for 10 sec./reverse speed 2. Use the spatula to push down from the edge.

Prepare puff pastry

Roll out puff pastry and cut into squares.

Add filling to puff pastry

Distribute the filling on the puff pastry squares.

Brush puff pastry

Brush the edges of the puff pastry squares with beaten egg yolk.

Baking

Bake the puff pastry ham squares in a preheated oven at 200°C top/bottom heat for approx. 15 minutes until golden brown.
