Description

This recipe for Keclina's Slice is a delicious cake that is perfect for special occasions. Preparation takes about 60 minutes and the difficulty is medium. The cake consists of sponge cake bases filled with jam and whipped cream. Ideal for coffee parties or as a festive dessert.

Ingredients (9 ingredients)

  • 2 Stück Sheets
  • 10 Stück Eggs
  • 200 g Crystal sugar
  • 50 g All purpose flour
  • 60 g Powdered sugar
  • 500 ml Whipped cream
  • 1 Packung Baking powder
  • 10 g Cream
  • Rubixel Jam

Preparation (9 steps)

Beat eggs and sugar

Add 8 egg yolks and 200g crystal sugar to the mixing bowl and beat for 3 min./level 4.

Apply sponge cake mixture to baking sheet

Fill the mixture into a piping bag and apply to a baking sheet lined with baking paper in 6 strips with even spacing.

Prepare egg whites

Thermomix® Setting
3 min/Speed 3.5

Add 8 egg whites and 2 whole eggs with 60g powdered sugar to the mixing bowl and beat stiff with the butterfly 3 min./level 3.5.

Mix flour and baking powder

Mix 50g all purpose flour and 1 packet of baking powder and add to the egg whites.

Fold in the flour mixture

Carefully fold the flour mixture into the egg whites.

Spread and bake sponge cake mixture

Pour the sponge cake mixture between the 6 snow strips and bake in a preheated oven at 150°C for approx. 30 minutes.

Cool and cut sponge cake bases

Then turn the sponge cake bases onto a cloth sprinkled with flour, let them cool and cut horizontally.

Prepare whipped cream

Whip 500ml whipped cream with the butterfly 2 min./level 3.5 until stiff.

Complete slices

Spread half of the sponge cake bases with Rubixel Jam, top with whipped cream and place the other half of the bases on top. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
