Description

I love this dish of rigatoni with mackerel, potatoes and a touch of chili pepper! It is an explosion of Mediterranean flavors that I often prepare for a quick but tasty lunch. The potatoes make the pasta creamy and the mackerel adds an intense and delicious flavor. A pinch of fresh chili pepper gives that extra touch that never hurts. Perfect for an informal dinner with friends or simply to pamper yourself with a dish full of flavor. The preparation is simple and quick, ideal when you have little time but do not want to give up a satisfying meal. Try it, you won't regret it!

  • 300 g Rigatoni
  • 300 g Potatoes
  • 200 g Mackerel
  • 1 clove Garlic
  • 1 pinch Chili pepper
  • 15 g Salt
  • 30 ml Extra virgin olive oil
  • 1500 ml Water
  • 1 bunch Fresh parsley

Preparation of potatoes

Peel the potatoes and cut them into regular cubes of about 1.5 - 2 centimeters. Set aside.

Cooking potatoes and pasta

Pour 1500 ml of water into the jug. Bring to a boil: 12 Min./100°C/Stufe 1.

Adding potatoes and pasta

Add 300g of rigatoni and the diced potatoes to the jug. Add 15g of salt. Cook for the time indicated on the pasta package, or until cooked to the desired consistency: Time indicated on the package/100°C/Linkslauf Stufe 1.

Preparation of the sauce

In the meantime, finely chop a clove of garlic: 3 Sek./Stufe 7. Add 30 ml of extra virgin olive oil and a pinch of chili pepper. Sauté: 3 Min./120°C/Stufe 1.

Adding the mackerel

Add 200g of drained mackerel to the jug. Adjust salt. Cook: 3 Min./100°C/Linkslauf Stufe 1.

Drain and season

Drain the pasta and potatoes. Pour the pasta and potatoes into the jug with the sauce. Mix gently: 1 Min./Linkslauf/Stufe 1.

Serve

Serve the rigatoni with mackerel and potatoes, sprinkle with fresh chopped parsley and season with a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil.
