Description

This rolled frittata is a delicious and colorful alternative to the classic frittata. Perfect for a Sunday brunch or as an appetizer for a dinner with friends, it is easy to prepare and lends itself to a thousand variations. I often prepare it with cooked ham and spreadable cheese, but it can be enriched with grilled vegetables, smoked salmon or other cured meats as desired. The frittata is soft and tasty, thanks to the cream in the dough, and the filling makes it even more inviting. A simple but effective idea that will conquer everyone!

Ingredients (9 ingredients)

  • 6 piece large eggs
  • 200 ml cooking cream
  • 40 g grated cheese
  • fine salt
  • pepper
  • 200 g spreadable cheese
  • 150 g cooked ham
  • cherry tomatoes
  • green salad

Preparation of the batter for the frittata

Thermomix® Setting
20 sec/Speed 4

In the Thermomix bowl, break the 6 large eggs. Add 40 g of grated cheese, 200 ml of cooking cream, fine salt to taste and pepper to taste. Mix everything for 20 Sec./Stufe 4.

Baking the frittata

Line a rectangular baking tray (approximately 25 cm x 38 cm) with baking paper and grease it lightly with oil. Pour the mixture in the bowl onto the baking tray and level evenly. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 15 minutes. (This step is not performed with the Thermomix).

Cooling and filling

Once cooked, let the frittata cool completely. Spread 200 g of spreadable cheese evenly over the surface of the frittata. Distribute 150 g of sliced cooked ham over the cheese.

Roll and decorate

Gently roll the frittata on itself, starting from one side. Cut the roll into slices and decorate with cherry tomatoes and green salad before serving. (This step is not performed with the Thermomix).
