Description

Roasted beets are a simple and delicious side dish, perfect to accompany meat or fish dishes. I often prepare them in the fall, when beets are at their best. The natural sweetness of beets blends perfectly with the scent of rosemary and garlic. This recipe is very easy to make with the Thermomix® and requires very little preparation time. An excellent alternative for those looking for a vegetarian, healthy and tasty side dish. They can be served hot or warm, according to taste. Try them, you won't regret it!

Ingredients (6 ingredients)

  • 6 piece Red beet
  • 2 clove Garlic
  • 2 rametto Rosemary
  • 30 ml Olive oil
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 pinch Pepper

Preparation of beets

Make sure the beets are fresh, firm to the touch and without external signs. Wash them thoroughly under running water, scrubbing the skin with a brush to remove any trace of dirt.

Cutting the beets

Cut off the top and bottom of the beets. Divide the beets in half or into four parts, depending on their size, trying to obtain pieces of similar size.

Preparation in the Thermomix

Transfer the beetroot pieces into the Thermomix bowl. Add 30 ml of olive oil, 1 teaspoon of salt and a sprinkling of pepper.

Adding garlic and rosemary

Crush the garlic cloves by pressing them with a knife. Add the crushed garlic and 2 sprigs of rosemary to the Thermomix bowl.

Cooking the beets

Close the bowl and cook the beets for 60 Min./Varoma/Stufe 1. Make sure the beets are soft before finishing cooking.

Removing the skin

Once cooked, transfer the beets to a bowl and gently rub them to remove the skin.

Serve

Serve the beets hot, garnishing with fresh rosemary needles.
