Description

These rum tarts, prepared in the Thermomix®, are festive finger food made from flour, butter, marzipan, and a hint of rum. The cookies are ideal for Christmas or other festive occasions. With a preparation time of 120 minutes (including 60 minutes of active time), you get about 25 servings. Thanks to the Thermomix®, the recipe is easy to implement and is perfect as a sweet treat with coffee or tea.

Ingredients (12 ingredients)

  • 300 g Flour
  • 0.5 Päckchen Baking powder
  • 100 g Sugar
  • 1 Päckchen Vanilla sugar
  • 1 Stück Egg
  • 150 g Butter
  • 200 g Marzipan raw mass
  • 100 g Powdered sugar
  • 200 g Powdered sugar
  • 2 EL Hot water
  • 1 Fläschchen Rum aroma
  • 25 Stück Peeled hazelnuts

Preparation (10 steps)

Mix dry ingredients

Add flour and baking powder to the mixing bowl and mix for 10 sec/speed 4. Add sugar and vanilla sugar and mix for another 5 sec/speed 4.

Prepare dough

Thermomix® Setting

Add egg and butter in flakes. Knead with the Patix dough knife instead of the standard knife for 2 min/kneading level to a smooth dough.

Chill dough

Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and let it rest in the refrigerator for an hour.

Roll out and cut out dough

Then knead briefly again, roll out on a floured work surface and cut out circles of 3 cm Ø.

Bake cookies

Place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and bake in the oven preheated to 180 °C for about 10 minutes, remove and let cool.

Prepare marzipan mass

Put marzipan raw mass and powdered sugar in the mixing bowl and knead for 20 sec/speed 5.

Cut out marzipan circles

Roll out the marzipan mass and also cut out 3 cm large circles. Put two cookies together with a marzipan circle each.

Prepare rum glaze

15 sec/Speed 3

Put powdered sugar, hot water and rum aroma in the mixing bowl and mix for 15 sec/speed 3.

Cover tarts

Cover the tarts with the rum glaze.

Decorate

Place a peeled hazelnut in the middle, let the glaze dry completely and store the rum tarts in a cookie tin until ready to eat.
