Description

This juicy apple crumble cake from the Thermomix® combines flour, sugar, apples and crumble topping for an autumnal delight. The recipe for this Sunday cake yields 12 servings and takes about 185 minutes to prepare. Ideal for coffee visits and anyone who loves classic cakes. Preparation in the Thermomix® makes baking much easier.

Ingredients (12 ingredients)

  • 400 g Flour
  • 240 g Sugar
  • 20 g Vanilla sugar, homemade
  • 1 TL Baking powder
  • 1 TL Salt
  • 250 g Margarine in pieces
  • 3 Stück Egg yolk
  • 1 Pck. Vanilla pudding powder
  • 15 g Cornstarch
  • 500 g Apple juice
  • 400 g Apple in cubes (1.5 cm)
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Preparation

Line a springform pan (Ø 26 cm) with baking paper. Preheat oven to 175°C.

Mix dry ingredients

Place flour, 200 g sugar, vanilla sugar, baking powder and salt in the mixing bowl and mix.

Knead dough

Add margarine in pieces and egg yolk and knead dough.

Shape the dough

Pour the crumbly dough into a bowl and knead with your hands to form a smooth dough. Place 2/3 of the dough in the prepared springform pan, press into the springform pan and pull up an edge of 2 cm. Refrigerate remaining dough and continue with the recipe.

Cook pudding

Place vanilla pudding powder, cornstarch, 40 g sugar and apple juice in the mixing bowl and bring to a boil.

Fold in apples

Add apples, fold in with the spatula and spread on the dough base.

Spread crumble topping and bake

Spread the remaining dough in crumble topping on top and bake for 35 minutes (175°C). Let the cake cool (approx. 2 hours), remove from the mold, dust with powdered sugar and serve.
