Description

These chocolate and nut shortbread are a real delight! I love to prepare them, especially during the holiday season. The combination of salted butter, chocolate and nuts is simply irresistible. They are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The dough is easy to work with, and the resting time in the fridge makes for firm and tasty biscuits. These shortbreads are perfect to accompany a coffee or tea, or simply for a small treat. A real treat for young and old!

Ingredients (7 ingredients)

  • 115 g Semi-salted butter
  • 50 g Sugar
  • 2 piece Whole egg(s)
  • 190 g Flour
  • 2 packet Baking powder
  • 200 g Chocolate
  • 100 g Shelled walnut(s)

Preparation (8 steps)

Soften the butter

Thermomix® Setting
20 sec/Speed 4

Cut 115 g of semi-salted butter into pieces and put it in the Thermomix bowl. Program 20 Sec./Level 4 to soften it.

Add sugar and eggs

Thermomix® Setting
30 sec/Speed 3

Add 50 g of sugar and 2 whole eggs to the bowl. Mix 30 Sec./Level 3.

Incorporate flour and baking powder

Thermomix® Setting
20 sec/Speed 3 Linkslauf Reverse

Add 190 g of flour and 2 sachets of baking powder to the bowl. Mix 20 Sec./Level 3 in Left rotation.

Add chocolate and nuts

Thermomix® Setting
10 sec/Speed 2 Linkslauf Reverse

Add 200 g of chocolate cut into pieces and 100 g of chopped shelled walnuts to the bowl. Gently mix 10 Sec./Level 2 in Left rotation.

Let the dough rest

Transfer the dough to a container and let it rest in the fridge for at least 1 hour.

Shape the cookies

Once the hour has passed and the dough is firm, spread it out to a thickness of 1/2 cm. Shape the cookies using a mustard glass. Cover a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Bake the cookies

Preheat the oven to 180°C. Place the cookies on the baking sheet, spacing them at least 2 cm apart. Put in the oven and bake for about 15 to 20 minutes.

Cool and serve

Take the cookies out of the oven, let them cool slightly and arrange them on a beautiful platter. Enjoy your meal!
