Description

Savory mushroom breads with cheese are a vegetarian main course or finger food, prepared in the Thermomix®. The bread dish with brown mushrooms, garlic, thyme and lemon is a hearty snack for the autumn. In just 30 minutes, 4 servings are created. Ideal for lovers of Mediterranean cuisine and mushroom dishes.

Ingredients (9 ingredients)

  • 4 Stiel Thyme
  • 1 Zehe Garlic
  • 0.5 Organic lemon
  • 400 g Brown mushrooms
  • 8 Scheibe Mixed rye bread
  • 2 EL Oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 8 Scheibe Gruyère

Preparation (8 steps)

Prepare thyme

Wash 4 sprigs of thyme, shake dry and strip the leaves from the sprigs. Set aside the thyme leaves.

Chop garlic

Peel 1 clove of garlic, place in the mixing bowl and chop for 3 seconds/speed 7. Scrape down the sides with the spatula.

Grate lemon zest

Wash ½ organic lemon in hot water, dry and thinly grate the peel. Set aside the grated lemon zest.

Prepare mushrooms

Clean 400 g brown mushrooms, wash if necessary and halve. Set aside the prepared mushrooms.

Prepare mushroom mixture

Heat 2 tbsp oil in a large pan and fry the prepared mushrooms for approx. 4 minutes. Season with the chopped garlic, grated lemon zest, thyme leaves, salt and pepper. Set aside the mushroom mixture.

Toast bread and cover with cheese

Spread 8 small slices of mixed rye bread on a baking sheet. Cover each slice of bread with a slice of Gruyère. Preheat the oven (electric oven: 220 °C/fan oven: 200 °C/gas: see manufacturer).

Melt cheese

Place the baking sheet with the bread in the preheated oven and let the cheese melt briefly (approx. 5 minutes).

Arrange

Remove the bread from the oven and arrange with the mushroom mixture. Serve immediately.
