Description

This spicy ground beef tomato sauce with kidney beans and corn is a real treat! I like to make it when I need something quick and still want something hearty on the table. The beefsteak ground beef is seasoned with onions, garlic and a good portion of chili powder. The kidney beans and corn provide a great texture and make the dish a complete meal. Perfect for a cozy evening with friends or family. Of course, spaghetti goes well with it, but rice or potatoes are also a tasty alternative. If you like it a little creamier, you can add a dash of cream.

Ingredients (15 ingredients)

  • 2 piece Onions
  • 2 clove Garlic
  • 5 Stiele Parsley
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 400 g Beefsteak ground beef
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
  • 2 tbsp Tomato paste
  • 150 ml clear broth
  • 850 ml Tomatoes (canned)
  • 12 piece green Olives pitted
  • 425 ml Kidney beans (canned)
  • 212 ml Corn (canned)
  • 400 g Spaghetti
  • to taste Chili powder

Preparation (7 steps)

Prepare Onions, Garlic and Parsley

Peel 2 onions, halve and place in the mixing bowl. Chop 3 sec./level 5. Peel 2 cloves of garlic and add. Chop 3 sec./level 7. Wash about 5 sprigs of parsley, shake dry, chop roughly and add. Chop 3 sec./level 5. Use the spatula to push everything down from the edge.

Sauté onions and garlic

Add 2 tbsp olive oil and sauté 3 min./120°C/level 1.

Fry ground meat

Brown 400 g beefsteak ground beef in a large pan until crumbly. Season with salt and pepper.

Add ground meat and tomato paste

Thermomix® Setting
1 min/248°F/Speed 1 120

Add the fried ground beef to the mixing bowl. Add 2 tbsp tomato paste and sauté briefly 1 min./120°C/level 1.

Let the sauce simmer

20 min/212°F/Speed 1 100

Add 150 ml clear broth and 1 can (850 ml) of tomatoes with juice. Simmer for 20 min./100°C/level 1. Use the spatula to chop the tomatoes a little.

Add olives, beans and corn

3 min/212°F/Linkslauf Speed 1 100 Reverse

Halve 12 green olives without stone. Drain 1 can (425 ml) of kidney beans and 1 can (212 ml) of corn and add to the mixing bowl together with the olives. Simmer for 3 min./100°C/reverse rotation level 1.

Season and serve

Season the sauce fiery with salt, pepper and chili powder. Cook 400 g spaghetti according to package instructions. Drain the spaghetti and mix with the sauce. Serve immediately.
