Description

This pea stew is a real classic that can be prepared in no time with the Thermomix®. The combination of sweet peas, hearty fried sausages and a creamy cream base makes it a real comfort food. I especially like to make it on cold days when I need something hearty and warming. The preparation is super easy and quick, so it is also perfect for after work. If you like, you can sprinkle some fresh parsley on top. A great dish for the whole family!

Ingredients (10 ingredients)

  • 2 piece Onions
  • 400 g Carrots
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 2 piece Uncooked veal sausages
  • 650 ml Curry
  • 200 g Whipping cream
  • 400 g Peas (deep-frozen)
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
  • 100 g Fried peas

Preparation (7 steps)

Prepare onions and carrots

Thermomix® Setting
3 sec/Speed 5

Peel and halve the onions and place in the mixing bowl. Chop for 3 sec./speed 5. Peel the carrots and cut into slices.

Sauté the onions

Add 2 tbsp of oil to the onions in the mixing bowl and sauté for 3 min./120°C/speed 1.

Add carrots and curry

Thermomix® Setting
2 min/248°F/Speed 1 120

Add the carrot slices to the mixing bowl and sauté for 2 min./120°C/speed 1. Sprinkle with curry.

Pour in broth and simmer

15 min/212°F/Speed 1 100

Pour 650 ml of broth into the mixing bowl and simmer for 15 min./100°C/speed 1.

Remove carrots and puree soup

Remove approx. ⅓ of the carrots from the mixing bowl and set aside. Add 200 g of whipping cream to the mixing bowl and puree for 30 sec./speed 8.

Add peas, carrots and fried sausage

5 min/212°F/Speed 1 100

Add 400 g of frozen peas, the reserved carrots and the previously fried sausage balls to the mixing bowl and bring to the boil for 5 min./100°C/speed 1.

Season the pea stew with salt and pepper. Serve sprinkled with 100 g of fried peas.
