Description

This hearty stew is a classic for cold days. With carrots, potatoes, bell peppers, and ham hock, it's rich and warming. Preparation in the Thermomix® takes about an hour and is straightforward. Ideal as a main course for 4 people.

Ingredients (8 ingredients)

2 Stück Garlic cloves, peeled
1 Stück Ham hock
2 Stück Bell peppers (red and green), quartered
1 Zweig Parsley
2 Stück Large carrots, peeled and cut into pieces
3 Stück Medium potatoes, peeled and cut into pieces
Salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
Water (as much as needed to cover the ingredients)

Preparation (4 steps)

Prepare the vegetables

Peel 2 garlic cloves. Quarter 2 bell peppers (red and green). Wash 1 sprig of parsley. Peel and cut 2 large carrots and 3 medium potatoes into pieces.

Prepare the stew

Add 1 ham hock, 2 peeled garlic cloves, 2 quartered bell peppers, 1 sprig of parsley, 2 large carrots in pieces, 3 medium potatoes in pieces, salt and freshly ground pepper to taste to the mixing bowl. Cover with water so that the ingredients are just under water. Attach lid and measuring cup.

First cooking phase

Thermomix® Setting

30 min/212°F/Löffelstufe 212°F Reverse

Program the Thermomix for 30 min./100°C/speed spoon/reverse. Attach lid and measuring cup.

Season and Serve

Taste the stew and season with salt and pepper if necessary. Serve hot, preferably directly from the Thermomix into the plates. A piece of fresh bread goes perfectly with it.
