Description

A hearty savory pie with meat and potatoes.

Ingredients (13 ingredients)

  • 350 g Milk
  • 1 Prise Sugar
  • 40 g Yeast
  • 600 g Flour
  • 2 TL Salt
  • 20 g Oil
  • 150 g Butter
  • 400 g Potatoes
  • 140 g Onions
  • 500 g Minced meat
  • 1 Prise Salt
  • 1 Prise Pepper
  • 1 Stück Egg

Preparation (11 steps)

Mix milk, sugar and yeast

Add milk, sugar and yeast to the mixing bowl and mix for 2.5 min./37*/ level 2.

Prepare dough

Add flour, salt, oil and butter and knead to a dough for 3 min./ kneading stage.

Let the dough rise

Place the dough in a lightly floured bowl and let it rise, covered, until the filling is ready.

Prepare potatoes

Peel the potatoes, quarter them and cut them into thin slices.

Chop onions

Put the onions in the mixing bowl and chop for 3 sec./ level 5.

Prepare minced meat

Thermomix® Setting
35 sec/Kneading speed

Add minced meat, salt and pepper to the onions and mix for 35 sec./kneading stage.

Preheat oven

Preheat the oven to 180°C top/bottom heat.

Divide dough

Place the dough on a lightly floured work surface and divide into two equal parts.

Roll out first part of dough

Roll out the first part and place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.

Spread filling

First spread the minced meat, then the potato slices on the dough and season with salt and pepper.

Second part of the dough.

Roll out the second part as well and cover the pirog with it. Close the edges and prick the surface several times with a fork. Whisk the egg, brush the pirog with it and bake for approx. 35-40 minutes.
