Description

This recipe for chocolate date confection is a delicious and healthy dessert that is vegan, gluten-free and lactose-free. The combination of dates, nuts and dark chocolate makes this confection an ideal snack for in between meals or as a dessert. The preparation only takes about 30 minutes and is therefore also suitable for spontaneous sweet tooths.

Ingredients (4 ingredients)

  • 200 g soft organic Dates
  • 120 g Peanuts or macadamia nuts
  • 120 g Chickpeas or white beans (from the jar, well rinsed)
  • 120 g Dark chocolate (min. 90%)

Prepare date-nut mixture

Add 200 g soft organic dates, 120 g peanuts or macadamia nuts and 120 g chickpeas or white beans to the mixing bowl and mix for 20 sec./speed 8 to a thick mass. If necessary, add 1-2 tbsp water and mix again for 10 sec./speed 8.

Shape the mixture

Place the mixture on baking paper and use the baking paper or hands to form a rectangular slab (approx. 3-4 cm thick) and press it smooth.

Melt the chocolate

Break 120 g dark chocolate into pieces and put in the mixing bowl. Melt for 3 min./50°C/speed 2.

Cover the confection

Cut the date-nut slab into approx. 2 cm wide pieces and dip them in the melted chocolate. Place on baking paper and decorate with chopped nuts.

Let it set

Put the confection in the refrigerator for about 10 minutes until the chocolate has hardened.
