Description

This aromatic herb salt with red wine is a real all-rounder in the kitchen! I love making it because it's so easy and enhances any dish. The coarse sea salt wonderfully absorbs the aromas of rosemary, sage and thyme, while the red wine adds a fine, fruity note. Perfect for seasoning meat, vegetables or simply refining bread with olive oil. It also always goes down well as a small gift from the kitchen. The preparation time is a little longer, but most of the time the salt dries in the oven by itself.

Ingredients (5 ingredients)

  • 500 g coarse sea salt
  • 125 ml Red wine
  • 5 Stiel Rosemary
  • 2 Stiel Sage
  • 5 Stiel Thyme

Preparation (5 steps)

Mix sea salt and red wine

Add 500 g coarse sea salt and 125 ml red wine to the mixing bowl and mix for 10 sec/speed 3.

Dry salt

Spread the mixed salt on a baking tray lined with baking paper and let it dry in the preheated oven at 60°C for approx. 2 hours. Then let it cool down completely.

Chop herbs

Wash 5 sprigs of rosemary, 2 sprigs of sage and 5 sprigs of thyme, shake dry, pluck off the leaves and put them in the mixing bowl. Chop for 5 sec/speed 7.

Mix herbs and salt

Thermomix® Setting
10 sec/Speed 4

Add the dried and cooled salt together with the chopped herbs to the mixing bowl and mix for 10 sec/speed 4.

Filling

Transfer the finished herb salt into clean, resealable jars and seal well.
