Description

This hearty Soljanka is a savory stew with sausage, Letscho, pickled cucumbers, and bell peppers. Preparation takes about an hour and is ideal as a main course for cold days. Refined with sour cream and lemon slices, it is a warming and filling dish.

Ingredients (10 ingredients)

  • 500 g mixed sausage (Lyoner and Salami)
  • 0.5 Glas Letscho or canned peeled tomatoes
  • 1 Glas Pickled cucumbers (with juice)
  • 1 Flasche Ketchup
  • 2 piece Tomatoes in pieces
  • 0.2 tsp Paprika spice sweet and hot
  • Onions
  • Garlic
  • Lemon
  • 2 tbsp Sour cream

Preparation (7 steps)

Prepare sausage

Cut 500g of mixed sausage (Lyoner and Salami) into slices. Fry the sausage in a separate pan and set aside.

Chop onions and garlic

Peel and quarter the onions. Peel the garlic cloves. Put 1 onion and garlic in the mixing bowl and chop for 3 sec./speed 5.

Sauté onions and garlic

Add some oil to the onions and garlic in the mixing bowl and sauté for 3 min./120°C/speed 1.

Add more ingredients

Add 1/2 glass of Letscho or canned peeled tomatoes, 1 glass of pickled cucumbers (with juice), 1 bottle of ketchup, diced tomatoes, paprika spice sweet and hot to the mixing bowl.

Let it simmer

Simmer the Soljanka for 30 min./100°C/speed 1.

Add sausage

Add the fried sausage to the mixing bowl and simmer for another 15 min./100°C/speed 1.

Season and refine

Season the Soljanka with salt and pepper. Add lemon slices shortly before the end and round off with a dash of sour cream.
