Description

This hearty beef goulash, prepared in the Thermomix®, is a savory main course with beef, onions, carrots, and bell peppers. Refined with red wine or grape juice and beef stock, it warms especially in the cold season. The preparation time is 150 minutes, of which 20 minutes are active work time. The recipe is designed for 4 servings and is ideal as a family meal.

Ingredients (12 ingredients)

  • 500 g Vegetable onions
  • 2 Zehen Garlic
  • 1 Stück Carrot
  • 2 EL Clarified butter
  • 200 ml Red wine or sugar-free red grape juice
  • 800 ml Beef stock or beef broth
  • 3 EL Tomato paste
  • 2 EL Sweet paprika powder
  • 1 TL Marjoram
  • 2 Stück Bay leaves
  • 1 kg Beef goulash
  • Salt and pepper

Preparation (6 steps)

Chop onions and garlic

500g Onions into the mixing bowl and chop 3 Sec./level 5. Decant. Place 2 cloves of garlic in the mixing bowl and chop 3 Sec./level 7. Decant.

Chop carrot

Peel 1 carrot and put in the mixing bowl and chop 4 Sec./level 4. Decant.

Sauté onions, garlic and carrots

Put 2 tbsp clarified butter in the mixing bowl. Add onions, garlic and carrots and sauté 5 Min./120°C/level 1.

Add spices and tomato paste

Add 3 tbsp tomato paste, 2 tbsp sweet paprika powder, 1 tsp marjoram and 2 bay leaves and sauté 1 Min./120°C/level 1.

Deglaze and add meat

Add 200 ml red wine or sugar-free red grape juice and simmer 1 Min./100°C/level 1. Add 800 ml beef stock or beef broth and 1 kg beef goulash (previously fried in the pan).

Simmer goulash

2 - 2 1/2 Stunden/203°F/Gentle stir speed 203°F

Bring everything to a boil once, then simmer for 2 - 2 1/2 hours/95°C/gentle stir setting. Stir occasionally with the spatula. Shortly before the end of the cooking time, remove the lid so that the sauce can thicken a little. Season with salt and pepper.
