Description

These spiced potatoes with cumin and harissa are a tasty and easy-to-prepare side dish, perfect to accompany meat or fish dishes, but also to be enjoyed as a delicious appetizer. The combination of cumin with harissa sauce gives an exotic and slightly spicy touch, balanced by the freshness of lemon and parsley. I often prepare them when I have guests for dinner and want to offer something different from the usual. The preparation is simple and quick, also ideal for those who have little time available. A vegetarian dish that will conquer everyone!

Ingredients (7 ingredients)

  • Potatoes
  • Cumin
  • Harissa sauce
  • Lemon
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • Parsley
  • Salt

Preparation (8 steps)

Preparation of the potatoes

Peel the potatoes and cut them into pieces of about 2.5 cm.

Cooking the potatoes

Thermomix® Setting
15 min/212°F/Speed 1 100

Insert the cut potatoes into the Thermomix basket. Fill the Mixtopf with water until it covers the potatoes. Cook for 15 Min./100°C/Stufe 1.

Squeezing the lemon

Squeeze the lemon to obtain the juice. Set aside.

Preparation of the dressing

In a bowl, mix the cumin, Harissa sauce, lemon juice and a generous drizzle of extra virgin olive oil. Mix well.

Cooling the potatoes

Once cooked, drain the potatoes and let them cool in a container.

Chopping the parsley

Thermomix® Setting

Put the parsley in the Mixtopf and chop for 3 Sek./Stufe 7. Remove and set aside.

Seasoning the potatoes

Season the now cold potatoes with the cumin mixture, adjust salt and mix gently with the spatula.

Service

Serve the potatoes with a sprinkling of chopped parsley.
