Description

This dish of squids at the griddle and fresh tomatoes is a summer delight! I love preparing this simple and quick recipe, perfect for a sunny lunch or a light dinner. The squids, tender and slightly grilled, go wonderfully with the freshness of the tomatoes and the tangy scent of lime. The garlic and ginger bring an exotic touch that enhances the flavors. It's a dish that I often make when I want something healthy and tasty, and that always pleases my guests. Feel free to add a pinch of chilli to enhance the taste!

Ingredients (9 ingredients)

  • 6 piece Tomato(es)
  • 600 g Cuttlefish(es)
  • 2 piece Lime(s)
  • 5 c. à soupe Olive oil
  • 1 clove Chopped garlic
  • 1 c. à café Fresh ginger
  • 10 brin(s) Chives
  • Salt
  • Pepper from the mill

Preparation (7 steps)

Preparation of the squids

Open the squid whites in half and lay them flat. Make diamond-shaped incisions on the inside of the flesh with the tip of a knife. If you have good-sized squid whites, cut squares of approximately 5 x 5 cm into the flesh. Set aside.

Preparation of the tomatoes

Wash the 6 tomatoes and cut them into four equal slices. Set aside.

Preparation of the marinade

Cut 1 of the 2 limes into 8 wedges. Squeeze the second lime and pour the juice into a bowl. Add 1 clove of chopped garlic and 1 teaspoon of fresh ginger. Add 5 tablespoons of olive oil, salt and pepper from the mill. Mix everything together in a bowl. Set aside.

Cooking the tomatoes

Add the lime wedges in the Thermomix bowl. Set 30 seconds/Varoma/Stufe 1.

Plating and serving

Arrange the squids, tomatoes and limes in a dish. Sprinkle with 10 sprigs of chopped chives and serve with the prepared sauce.
