Description

This hearty asparagus potato casserole with ham, cream, and cream cheese is quick to prepare in the Thermomix®. The recipe uses fresh white asparagus and potatoes as the main ingredients. In about 60 minutes, a hearty main course for 6 servings is created. Ideal as a warming family meal or for lovers of classic asparagus cuisine.

  • 1000 g white asparagus
  • 600 g Potatoes
  • 100 g cooked ham
  • 250 g Cream
  • 200 g Cream cheese with herbs
  • nach Geschmack Salt
  • nach Geschmack Pepper
  • 100 g grated Cheese

Prepare asparagus and potatoes

Wash 1 kg white asparagus, peel and cut off the woody ends. Peel 600 g potatoes and cut into approx. 2 cm cubes. Cut the prepared asparagus into approx. 3 cm long pieces.

Pre-cook asparagus and potatoes

Place asparagus and potatoes in the simmering basket. Fill 1 liter of water into the mixing bowl, insert the simmering basket and cook for 6 Min./100°C/Stufe 1.

Prepare ham

Cut 100 g cooked ham into small cubes.

Prepare cream cheese sauce

Thermomix® Setting
20 sec/Speed 3

Put 250 g cream and 200 g cream cheese with herbs into the mixing bowl. Season with salt and pepper and mix for 20 Sec./Stufe 3.

Layer casserole

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees top and bottom heat. Place potatoes, asparagus spears and ham in a casserole dish and pour over the cream cheese sauce.

Add cheese and bake

Cover everything with 100 g grated cheese (e.g. Gouda) and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.
