Description

This hearty tarte flambée with Brussels sprouts and bacon is an absolute highlight! I especially like to make it in the fall when Brussels sprouts are in season. The combination of the slightly bitter Brussels sprouts, the salty bacon and the creamy feta is simply unbeatable. The tarte flambée is quick to prepare and perfect for a cozy evening with friends or family. If you like, you can sprinkle some grated cheese on top before baking. A real treat!

Ingredients (10 ingredients)

  • 2 clove Garlic
  • 100 g Crème fraîche
  • 1 Spritzer Lemon juice
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
  • 2 piece Tarte flambée dough (à approx. 18 x 28 cm; from the refrigerated section)
  • 300 g Brussels sprouts
  • 150 g Bacon (in strips)
  • 100 g Feta
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil

Preparation (6 steps)

Chop garlic

Put 2 garlic cloves in the mixing bowl and chop for 3 sec./speed 7.

Prepare cream

Thermomix® Setting
10 sec/Speed 3

Add 100 g crème fraîche, 1 dash of lemon juice, salt and pepper to the chopped garlic in the mixing bowl and stir for 10 sec./speed 3.

Top tarte flambée

Place 2 tarte flambée doughs (à approx. 18 x 28 cm; from the refrigerated section) on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and spread with the cream.

Prepare Brussels sprouts

Wash 300 g Brussels sprouts, halve and distribute on the tarte flambée spread with cream.

Complete tarte flambée

Distribute 150 g bacon (in strips) on the Brussels sprouts. Crumble 100 g feta over it. Season with salt and pepper. Drizzle with 2 tbsp olive oil.

Bake tarte flambée

Bake in a preheated oven (electric oven: 250 °C/convection oven: 230 °C) for approx. 10 minutes (or according to package instructions).
