Description

These crispy briouates with ground meat are perfect for a festive appetizer or a tasty starter. I often prepare them for the end-of-year holidays, and they always disappear in the blink of an eye! The meat filling, flavored with cinnamon and coriander, is a delight. The brick dough, once fried in butter, becomes incredibly crispy. These little golden triangles are a real treat for the taste buds. Feel free to vary the spices according to your tastes. A little cumin or smoked paprika can also add an original touch. Served warm or hot, these briouates are a staple of Moroccan cuisine.

Ingredients (8 ingredients)

  • 100 g Sweet butter
  • 4 c. à soupe Sunflower oil
  • 3 c. à soupe White onion(s)
  • 400 g Beef meat
  • 24 Feuille(s) Brick sheet(s)
  • 1 bouquet(s) Coriander
  • 0.5 c. à café Ground cinnamon
  • Salt pepper

Preparation (7 steps)

1

Preparation of onions

Thermomix® Setting
3 sec/Speed 5

Peel 3 tablespoons of white onions and cut them into quarters. Put them in the Thermomix bowl and mix 3 Sec./Level 5 to chop them finely.

2

Cooking the ground meat

In a pan, heat 4 tbsp of sunflower oil. Add 400 g of ground beef and the chopped onions. Sauté over high heat until the meat is cooked.

3

Adding spices and coriander

Add 0.5 teaspoon of ground cinnamon and 1 bunch of fresh chopped coriander to the ground meat. Mix and simmer over low heat for 5 Min. stirring regularly.

4

Preparation of brick sheets

Overlap the brick sheets two by two. Place a little of the ground meat preparation in the center of the brick sheets. Salt and pepper to your liking.

5

Shaping the briouates

Close the brick sheets to obtain a regular triangle (briouate).

6

Cooking the briouates

In a saucepan, melt 100 g of sweet butter. When the butter is completely melted, cook the kefta briouates for a few minutes, turning them halfway through cooking so that they are golden brown on both sides.

7

Draining and serving

At the end of cooking, place the kefta briouates on absorbent paper to remove excess fat. Serve warm or hot as a starter or appetizer.
