Description

These vegan almond vanilla crescent cookies from the Thermomix® are the perfect pastry for the Christmas season. The main ingredients are flour, almonds, icing sugar and vegan margarine. The preparation takes a total of 110 minutes, with the active working time being around 40 minutes. The recipe yields approximately 40 crescent cookies. Ideal for anyone who loves vegan Christmas cookies or is looking for a delicious dessert.

  • 250 g Wheat flour Type 405
  • 1 EL Cornstarch
  • 120 g Icing sugar
  • 4 Pck. Bourbon vanilla sugar
  • 150 g Ground almonds
  • 1 Prise(n) Salt
  • 210 g Vegan margarine
  • 30 g Sugar
  • 50 g Icing sugar

Preparation (8 steps)

Mix dry ingredients

Put 250 g wheat flour type 405, 1 tbsp cornstarch, 70 g icing sugar, 2 packets of bourbon vanilla sugar, 150 g ground almonds and 1 pinch of salt into the mixing bowl and mix for 20 sec/speed 4.

Add margarine and knead

Thermomix® Setting
2 min/Kneading speed

Add 210 g vegan margarine in small pieces to the dry ingredients in the mixing bowl and knead for 2 min/kneading setting to form a smooth dough.

Shape and chill dough

Remove the dough from the mixing bowl, form into several rolls, wrap in cling film and chill for 1 hour.

Prepare sugar mixture

Mix 30 g sugar, 50 g icing sugar and 2 packets of bourbon vanilla sugar in a bowl and set aside.

Preheat oven

Preheat the oven to 170°C circulating air.

Shape and bake crescent cookies

Remove a roll of dough from the refrigerator and cut into finger-width pieces. Shape the pieces into vanilla crescent cookies and spread on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Bake for about 12 minutes.

Sugar crescent cookies

As soon as the crescent cookies come out of the oven, carefully turn them in the prepared sugar mixture. Proceed in the same way with the remaining dough.

Let crescent cookies cool down

Let the crescent cookies cool down and store them in a cookie tin until ready to eat.
