Description

This vegetarian noodle casserole is a true classic that always tastes good! With penne, a creamy tomato sauce and lots of cheese, it's the perfect dish for a cozy evening. I often make it when I need to be quick and everyone needs to be full. The preparation is super easy and the Thermomix® helps to stir the sauce perfectly creamy. A third of the cheese goes directly into the noodle mixture, which makes the casserole particularly juicy. Try it, you will be thrilled!

Ingredients (7 ingredients)

  • 500 g Penne
  • 100 ml Olive oil
  • 400 ml Cream
  • 1 Tube/n Tomato paste, unseasoned
  • Herbs, Italian
  • 250 g Gouda or Mozzarella, grated
  • 4 piece Tomato(es)

Preparation (6 steps)

Cook noodles

Cook 500 g of penne in a pot with salted water according to the package instructions until al dente. Then drain and set aside.

Chop garlic

Peel the garlic cloves, put them in the mixing bowl and chop for 3 sec./level 7. Scrape down from the edge with the spatula.

Prepare sauce

5 min/194°F/Speed 2 90

Add 100 ml olive oil, 400 ml cream, 1 tube tomato paste, Italian herbs as needed, salt and pepper to the mixing bowl and stir for 5 min./90°C/level 2.

Mix noodles and sauce

Put the cooked penne in a large casserole dish. Pour the sauce from the mixing bowl over the noodles and mix well. Mix 1/3 of the grated cheese (approx. 80 g) into the noodles.

Add tomatoes and cheese

Quarter the 4 tomatoes and place on the penne. Sprinkle the remaining grated cheese (approx. 170 g) over it.

Bake casserole

Bake the casserole in a preheated oven at 180 °C convection for approx. 30 minutes until the cheese is melted and golden brown.
