Description

This velouté brown sauce is a perfect accompaniment to your meat dishes. I often prepare it to accompany a good steak or roasted vegetables. The recipe is simple and quick, ideal for weeknights when you are short on time. Semolina onion and powdered garlic add a delicate and fragrant flavor. Feel free to adjust the amount of pepper to your preference. This sauce is a real asset to enhance your dishes in the blink of an eye. It goes particularly well with potatoes or a vegetable purée. A real delight!

Ingredients (5 ingredients)

  • 10 cl beef broth
  • 4 c. à c. flour
  • 1 c. à c. semolina onion
  • 0.5 c. à c. garlic powder
  • to taste pepper

Preparation (3 steps)

Prepare broth

Pour 10 cl of beef broth into the Thermomix bowl.

Add and mix ingredients

Thermomix® Setting
20 sec/Speed 3

Add 4 tsp of flour, 1 tsp of semolina onion and ½ tsp of garlic powder to the Thermomix bowl. Add pepper to taste. Mix for 20 Sec./level 3.

Let it simmer

Thermomix® Setting
10 min/194°F/Speed 2 90

Let it simmer for 10 Min./90°C/level 2 without the measuring cup until the sauce reaches the desired consistency.
