Description

This hearty white cabbage and ground meat casserole from the Thermomix® is an affordable and filling low-carb main course with white cabbage, ground meat, onions and tomato paste. Preparation takes about 65 minutes, of which 25 minutes are active working time. The recipe is ideal for autumnal family cooking and yields 4 servings. Due to the high meat content, the casserole is particularly filling.

Ingredients (12 ingredients)

  • 500 g White cabbage, quartered
  • 1 Stück Onion, halved
  • 1 Stück Garlic clove
  • 1 EL Butter
  • 500 g Ground meat
  • 1 EL Tomato paste
  • 1 TL Salt
  • 0.25 TL Pepper
  • 200 g Cream
  • 100 g Cream cheese
  • 100 g Gouda
  • 0.5 TL Paprika powder

Preparation (7 steps)

Chop the white cabbage

Grease a baking dish. Place half of the cabbage in pieces into the mixing bowl and chop for 3 sec./speed 4.5 and transfer to the baking dish. Repeat with the second half. Preheat oven to 180°C top/bottom heat.

Chop onion and garlic

Place the onion and garlic in the mixing bowl and chop for 5 sec./speed 5. Scrape down the sides with the spatula.

Sauté onion and garlic

Add butter and sauté for 3 min./120°C/speed 1.

Brown ground meat

Brown ground meat in a separate pan.

Add ground meat, tomato paste and spices

Add browned ground meat, tomato paste, salt and pepper and sauté for 8 min./120°C/speed 0.5. Then pour over the cabbage and mix ingredients.

Prepare sauce

Add cream, cream cheese, Gouda and paprika powder to the mixing bowl and mix for 15 sec./speed 5.

Bake casserole

Pour the sauce over the cabbage and ground meat mixture. Bake in the hot oven for about 20 minutes, then serve.
