Description

This orange flan is a citrus delight that I often prepare at home. Its intense orange flavor and smooth texture make it the perfect dessert for any occasion. Best of all, it does not contain milk, which makes it ideal for people with lactose intolerance. The preparation is very simple and quick with the Thermomix®, and the result is a creamy and flavorful flan. Go ahead and try it, you'll love it! It is perfect for a light dessert after a hearty meal or to celebrate a birthday with a fresh and original touch. In addition, it can be prepared in advance and stored in the refrigerator.

Ingredients (5 ingredients)

  • 3 piece eggs
  • 300 ml natural orange juice
  • 100 gramos sugar
  • 1 tbsp fine corn flour or cornstarch
  • Liquid caramel

Preparation (7 steps)

Prepare the molds

Pour a generous amount of liquid caramel into the bottom of each individual flan mold, making sure to cover the entire base evenly. Reserve the caramelized molds.

Beat the eggs and sugar

Thermomix® Setting
30 sec/Speed 4

Place the 3 eggs and 100 grams of sugar in the Thermomix glass. Program 30 seconds/Stufe 4 to beat until a homogeneous and slightly frothy mixture is obtained.

Incorporate the cornstarch

Thermomix® Setting
15 sec/Speed 3

Add 1 tablespoon of fine corn flour (cornstarch) to the Thermomix glass. Mix for 15 seconds/Stufe 3 to ensure that there are no lumps and the cornstarch is completely integrated.

Add the orange juice

Thermomix® Setting
20 sec/Speed 3

Pour the 300 milliliters of natural orange juice into the Thermomix glass. Mix for 20 seconds/Stufe 3 until a liquid and homogeneous mixture is obtained.

Pour the mixture into the molds

Distribute the orange flan mixture into the previously caramelized individual molds, filling them almost to the brim.

Bake in a bain-marie

Place the molds in a deep tray and add hot water halfway up the molds (bain-marie). Bake in the preheated oven at 150°C for 30 minutes.

Cool and unmold

Once baked, remove the flans from the oven and let them cool completely in the same tray with water. Then, refrigerate for at least 2 hours before unmolding and serving.
