Description

This Thermomix® recipe for chicken drumsticks in the oven combines potatoes, fresh herbs, onions and tomatoes to create a hearty main course. Preparation with the Thermomix® takes about 70 minutes, of which 30 minutes is active working time. The recipe is designed for 6 servings and is ideal as a family meal or for lovers of Mediterranean cuisine. The combination of meat and vegetables makes it a balanced meal.

Ingredients (16 ingredients)

  • 9 Stück small potatoes, approx. 800 g
  • 1.5 Stück Sprig rosemary
  • 1.5 Stück Sprig thyme
  • 1.5 Stück medium sized onions
  • 2 Stück Garlic cloves
  • 250 g fresh tomatoes
  • 4 Stück Chicken drumsticks
  • Pepper, black ground
  • Salt
  • 4.5 EL Ketchup
  • 4.6666666666667 TL Honey
  • 4.5 EL Vegetable oil
  • 4.5 EL Chili sauce
  • 4.75 EL Soy sauce
  • 6 EL Olive oil
  • 1.5 Glas Poultry stock

Preparation (10 steps)

Chop onions

Add 1-2 medium-sized onions to the mixing bowl and chop for 3 sec./speed 5.

Chop garlic

Add 2 cloves of garlic and chop for 3 sec./speed 7.

Prepare potatoes

Wash 9 small potatoes (approx. 800 g) thoroughly and halve or quarter depending on their size.

Prepare tomatoes

Wash 250 g fresh tomatoes, remove the stalk and halve or quarter depending on their size.

Prepare herbs

Wash 1 sprig of thyme and 1 sprig of rosemary, pat dry and pluck the leaves or needles and chop the rosemary.

Prepare marinade

Add 3 tablespoons of ketchup, 2 teaspoons of honey, 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil, 3 tablespoons of chili sauce and 3 tablespoons of soy sauce to the mixing bowl and stir for 10 sec./speed 3.

Prepare chicken drumsticks

Season 4-6 chicken drumsticks with pepper and salt and fry in a separate pan.

Brush chicken drumsticks

Place the fried chicken drumsticks in a roasting pan and brush generously with the marinade.

Add vegetables

Place the potatoes between the drumsticks and spread the onions and garlic over them. Mix the herbs with 4 tablespoons of olive oil and pour over them.

Bake

Place the roasting pan on the second shelf in the oven and cook for 40 minutes. Then add the tomatoes and 1 glass of poultry stock and cook for another 15 minutes.
