Description

These crispy waffle cookies are an absolute hit for any coffee table! I especially like to make them at Christmas time, but of course they taste good all year round. The dough is super quick to prepare in the Thermomix® and the small cookies are simply irresistible. The vanilla gives them a fine aroma. They are perfect for snacking in between meals or as a small gift. If you like, you can sprinkle them with icing sugar or dip them in chocolate after baking. They can be stored airtight for a few weeks, if they haven't already been eaten!

Ingredients (6 ingredients)

  • 250 g Wheat flour Type 405
  • 125 g Butter (soft)
  • 125 g Sugar
  • 1 Prise(n) Salt
  • 1 piece Egg (room temperature)
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract

Mix ingredients

Put 250 g wheat flour type 405, 125 g soft butter, 125 g sugar, 1 pinch of salt, 1 egg (room temperature) and 1 tsp vanilla extract into the mixing bowl and knead for 2 min./kneading level to a smooth dough.

Cool dough

Remove the dough from the mixing bowl, form a ball, wrap in cling film and refrigerate for 10 minutes.

Bake waffle cookies

Preheat the waffle iron. Roll walnut-sized balls (approx. 20 g each) from the dough between the palms of your hands. Place a ball of dough on each waffle iron heart, close the waffle iron and bake the cookies until golden brown in 2–3 minutes.

Let cool

Remove the finished waffle cookies from the waffle iron and let them cool on a wire rack. Continue in this way until all the dough is used up.
