Description

These lentil crackers are a delicious and healthy snack or accompaniment to salads and dips. They are gluten-free, vegan and rich in fiber. Preparation takes about 30 minutes and yields 10 crackers. Ideal for a low-carb diet or as a protein-rich snack after a workout.

Ingredients (7 ingredients)

  • 1200 g Red lentils, cooked
  • 100 g Oat flakes
  • 2 EL Linseed
  • 2 Prise Salt
  • 2 TL Sweet paprika powder
  • 4 EL Hummus
  • 2 TL Chopped herbs

Preparation (6 steps)

Grind oat flakes

Grind 100 g oat flakes for 20 sec/ speed 10.

Prepare lentils

Add 200 g red lentils, cooked, to the mixing bowl and chop for 10 sec/speed 4.5.

Prepare dough

Add 2 tbsp linseed, 2 tsp sweet paprika powder and 2 pinches of salt to the mixing bowl with the chopped lentils and ground oat flakes and stir for 30 sec/speed 5. If necessary, add a little water.

Shape and bake crackers

Roll out the mixture on 2 sheets of baking paper or press flat with your hands to 3-4 mm. Cut into ten even pieces each with a knife, place next to each other on the baking sheets and bake one after the other in the preheated oven on the middle rack for about 20 minutes until crispy.

Prepare dip

Mix 4 tbsp hummus and 2 tsp chopped herbs (e.g. oregano or thyme) in a bowl.

Serve

Remove the crackers from the oven and let them cool briefly, then serve with the dip.
