Description

This hearty beef stew with gnocchi, prepared in the Thermomix®, warms you up on cold days. The main ingredients are beef, onions, carrots, celery and sweet paprika. In 90 minutes, a hearty main course for 4 servings is created. Ideal as a filling family meal or for lovers of traditional, warm cuisine.

Ingredients (16 ingredients)

  • 70 ml Oil
  • 600 g Beef
  • 170 g Onions
  • 150 g Carrots
  • 70 g Celery
  • 1 TL Sweet paprika
  • 600 ml Water
  • 30 g Tomato paste
  • 1 TL Vegetable broth
  • 2 Stück Bay leaves
  • 1 TL Thyme
  • 1 TL Sugar
  • 1 TL Pepper
  • 1 TL Salt
  • 250 g Gnocchi
  • Parsley

Preparation (6 steps)

Prepare beef (sear externally)

Add 25 g of oil and 300 g of beef to the mixing bowl, sear and transfer.

Prepare remaining beef (sear externally)

Add 25 g of oil and the remaining 300 g of beef to the mixing bowl, sear and add to the bowl with the seared beef.

Prepare onions, carrots and celery

Add the remaining 20 g of oil, onions, carrots and celery to the mixing bowl and sear.

Cook stew

Add seared beef, paprika pieces, paprika powder, water, tomato paste, spice paste, allspice, bay leaves, thyme, sugar, pepper and salt and cook for 35 min./120°C/level 1.

Steam gnocchi

10 min/Varoma/Speed 0.5 Varoma

Attach Varoma container, weigh in gnocchi, close Varoma and cook for 10 min./Varoma/ level 0.5.

Arrange and serve

Remove Varoma. Arrange beef stew with gnocchi, sprinkle with parsley and serve.
