Description

This chicken and orange risotto is a comforting and tasty dish, perfect for autumn or winter evenings. The combination of tender chicken, creamy rice and the tangy notes of orange, enhanced by a hint of green pepper, makes it an original and flavorful dish. I often prepare it for dinner with friends, because it is easy to make and always appreciated. The secret lies in the quality of the broth and the perfect cooking of the rice, which must be melting without being pasty. Feel free to add a touch of grated parmesan for even more indulgence! This risotto is a real delight, a complete and balanced dish that will delight your taste buds.

Ingredients (10 ingredients)

  • 150 g Rice
  • 300 g Chicken breast(s)
  • 1 piece Orange(s)
  • 1 piece Green pepper
  • 2 dl Chicken broth
  • 1 piece Shallot(s)
  • 1 clove Garlic
  • to taste Butter
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper

Preparation (6 steps)

Cooking the rice

Pour 150 g of rice into the cooking basket. Fill the bowl with water until covering the rice. Cook for 20 minutes / 100°C / Stufe 4.

Chicken preparation

Cut 300 g of chicken breasts into dice. Melt a knob of butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Sear the diced chicken for 4 minutes. Remove from the pan, salt, pepper and keep warm.

Sauce preparation

Peel and chop 1 shallot and 1 clove of garlic. Put the shallot and garlic in the bowl and chop 3 Sek./Stufe 5. Add a knob of butter and sauté 3 Min./120°C/Stufe 1.

Adding broth and citrus fruits

Add 2 dl of chicken broth, the zest of a 1/2 orange and its juice into the bowl. Bring to a boil 3 Min./100°C/Stufe 2.

Final cooking

Cut the other half of the orange into slices, remove the rind. Remove seeds and cut 1 green pepper. Add everything in the bowl and cook 2 Min./100°C/Stufe 1.

Incorporating rice and chicken

3 min/140°F/Linkslauf Speed 1 60 Reverse

Add the drained rice and cooked chicken into the bowl. Mix gently with the spatula and reheat 3 Min./60°C/Linkslauf Stufe 1. Adjust the seasoning if needed.
