Description

This tomato spread with spring onions is a delicious and simple dip that is ideal as an appetizer or finger food. It is vegetarian, gluten-free and quick to prepare. With fresh herbs and aromatic tomatoes, it is a treat for any occasion. Perfect for brunch or as a snack in between.

Ingredients (9 ingredients)

  • 150 g dried Tomatoes (in oil)
  • 2 piece Garlic cloves
  • 2 piece Spring onions
  • 350 g Cream cheese
  • 2 tbsp Tomato paste
  • 1 tsp dried Marjoram
  • Salt
  • black Pepper
  • 2 piece Basil

Preparation (5 steps)

Prepare tomatoes

Drain 150 g dried tomatoes (in oil) and cut very small. Set aside.

Prepare garlic and spring onions

Peel 2 garlic cloves and place in the mixing bowl. Chop for 3 sec./speed 7. Clean, wash and cut 2 spring onions into fine rings. Set aside.

Stir in cream cheese and tomato paste

Add 350 g cream cheese and 2 tbsp tomato paste to the mixing bowl and stir for 20 sec./speed 3.

Stir in tomatoes, garlic, spring onions and marjoram

Add the prepared 150 g tomatoes, the chopped garlic from the mixing bowl, the chopped 2 spring onions and 1 tsp dried marjoram and stir in for 15 sec./reverse/speed 2.

Season and add basil

Season with salt and black pepper. Pluck 2-3 stems of basil leaves and cut into strips. Sprinkle the tomato spread with the chopped basil and serve.
