  • 600 g Rump steak/Ribeye
  • 2 EL Olive oil
  • Pepper from the mill
  • Sea salt (Fleur de Sel)
  • 3 Stück Garlic cloves
  • 2 Stück Thyme sprigs
  • 1 Stück Bay leaves
  • 2 Stück Sage leaves
  • Lettuce leaves
  • 0.5 Stück Cucumber
  • 1 Stück Green or red bell pepper
  • Herbs for garnish
  • Fleur de sel
  • 3 EL Vinegar (apple cider vinegar, red wine vinegar, mild balsamic vinegar or a mixture)
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 3 EL Olive oil

Preparation (7 steps)

Chop garlic

Place garlic cloves into the mixing bowl and chop for 3 sec./speed 7.

Prepare marinade

Add 2-3 tbsp olive oil, pepper from the mill, sea salt (Fleur de Sel), 2-3 thyme sprigs, 1-2 bay leaves, and 2-3 sage leaves to the mixing bowl and stir for 5 sec./speed 3.

Marinate meat

Coat the rump steak/ribeye with the marinade and let it come to room temperature, covered.

Sear meat

Fry the meat in a separate pan as described above and let it rest.

Prepare marinade for the salad

Add 3 tbsp vinegar (apple cider vinegar, red wine vinegar, mild balsamic vinegar or a mixture), salt, pepper, and 3-4 tbsp olive oil to the mixing bowl and stir for 10 sec./speed 3.

Arrange salad

Arrange lettuce leaves, ½ cucumber, 1 green or red bell pepper, and herbs for garnish on plates and drizzle with the marinade.

Carve and serve meat

It is best to carve the meat at the table, so everyone can choose their favorite pieces. And preferably on a cutting board with a groove that can absorb the leaking meat juices. Sprinkle fleur de sel on top and serve.
