Description

Ingredients (15 ingredients)

  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 piece eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups thinly sliced apples
  • 0.5 cup chopped pecans
  • 0.5 cup butter
  • 0.5 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Preparation (10 steps)

Preheat oven and prepare baking pan

Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F). Grease a 12-cup fluted tube baking pan (such as a Bundt® pan). This step is done outside of the Thermomix.

Combine sugar and oil

Add 2 cups of white sugar and 1 cup of vegetable oil to the Thermomix bowl. Mix for 20 Sec./Stufe 3.

Add eggs and vanilla

Thermomix® Setting
15 sec/Speed 3

Add 3 eggs and 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract to the Thermomix bowl. Mix for 15 Sek./Stufe 3.

Combine dry ingredients

Thermomix® Setting
20 sec/Speed 4

Add 3 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of baking soda, 1 teaspoon of ground nutmeg, 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon, and ½ teaspoon of salt to the Thermomix bowl. Mix for 20 Sek./Stufe 4.

Mix in apples and pecans

Thermomix® Setting
15 sec/Linkslauf Speed 2 Reverse

Add 3 cups of thinly sliced apples and ½ cup of chopped pecans to the Thermomix bowl. Mix for 15 Sek./Linkslauf Stufe 2. Use the spatula to help mix.

Pour batter into pan

Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan. This step is done outside of the Thermomix.

Bake the cake

Bake in the preheated oven until golden brown, about 1 hour and 10 minutes. Remove from the oven and leave cake in the pan. This step is done outside of the Thermomix.

Prepare caramel glaze

Thermomix® Setting
3 min/212°F/Speed 2 100

Add ½ cup of butter, ½ cup of firmly packed brown sugar, and 2 tablespoons of milk to the Thermomix bowl. Cook for 3 Min./100°C/Stufe 2.

Add vanilla to glaze

Thermomix® Setting
5 sec/Speed 2

Add 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract to the Thermomix bowl. Mix for 5 Sek./Stufe 2.

Glaze the cake

Pull the cake away from the sides of the pan with a fork. Pour glaze onto the cake immediately. Let cake cool in pan, about 10 minutes. This step is done outside of the Thermomix.
