Description

This grilled chicken marinated with spices is a tasty and fragrant dish, perfect for summer barbecues or family meals. The marinade, based on onion, lemon, olive oil and a blend of spices, tenderizes the meat and gives it an irresistible flavor. The garlic sauce, prepared with fresh crushed garlic and olive oil, brings a touch of freshness and spice that goes perfectly with grilled chicken. I often prepare this dish for birthdays or parties with friends, and it is always very popular. The preparation takes a little time because of the marinade, but the result is really worth it! A real treat for lovers of Mediterranean flavors.

Ingredients (12 ingredients)

  • 2 kg Chicken
  • 1 piece Onion
  • 1 piece Lemon
  • 0.5 verre(s) Olive oil
  • Powdered cinnamon
  • Thyme leaf
  • 1 feuille Bay leaf
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 40 g Garlic
  • 0.5 verre(s) Olive oil
  • 5 g Salt

Preparation (8 steps)

Preparation of the chickens

Clean the chickens and cut each chicken into 2 or 4 pieces. Place the chicken pieces in a large container.

Preparation of the marinade

Cut the onion into quarters and put it in the Thermomix bowl. Chop the onion for 3 Sek./Stufe 5.

Mixing the marinade

Add the lemon juice, olive oil, cinnamon powder, thyme, bay leaf, salt and pepper to the Thermomix bowl. Mix everything for 10 Sek./Stufe 3.

Marinating the chicken

Pour the marinade over the chicken pieces. Make sure all the pieces are well covered. Cover the container and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 6 hours, turning the chickens from time to time.

Preparation of the garlic sauce

Peel the garlic and put it in the Thermomix bowl with the salt. Chop the garlic for 3 Sek./Stufe 7.

Emulsifying the garlic sauce

Thermomix® Setting
30 sec/Speed 3

Scrape the sides of the bowl. Add the olive oil little by little, mixing for 30 Sek./Stufe 3. The sauce must be well emulsified.

Cooking the chicken on the grill

Grill the chickens over charcoal for about 45 minutes, first over high heat, then over moderate heat for the last 15 minutes. While cooking, occasionally dip the chickens in their marinade.

Present the grilled chickens with the garlic sauce. Serve hot.
