Description

These chocolate quince stars are delicious cookies, perfect for the Christmas season. The dough is made with powdered sugar, flour, cornstarch, cocoa, egg yolks and cold butter and, after chilling, is cut into star shapes. After baking, the stars are glued together with quince jelly. Preparation takes about 2 hours and results in a festive dessert.

Ingredients (7 ingredients)

  • 150 g Powdered Sugar
  • 200 g Flour
  • 50 g Cornstarch
  • 20 g Cocoa
  • 3 Stück Egg Yolks
  • 200 g Cold Butter Cubes
  • Quince Jelly

Preparation (5 steps)

Prepare the dough

Thermomix® Setting

Place 150 g powdered sugar, 200 g flour, 50 g cornstarch, 20 g cocoa, 3 egg yolks and 200 g cold butter cubes in the mixing bowl and process into a dough for 2 min./kneading stage.

Chill the dough

Refrigerate the dough for 1 hour.

Cut out stars

Roll out the dough and cut out stars.

Bake

Place the stars on a baking sheet and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C top/bottom heat for approx. 10-12 minutes.

Decorate

After cooling, glue the stars together with quince jelly.
