Description

These vanilla crescents are a classic Christmas pastry that is easy to prepare with the Thermomix®. The dough is quickly kneaded and, after a cooling period, formed into delicate crescents. After baking, they are dusted with icing sugar and are a delicious treat for the Advent season. The recipe yields approximately 50 pieces.

Ingredients (6 ingredients)

230 g Wheat flour
180 g Butter (soft)
80 g Icing sugar
1 Päckchen Vanilla pudding powder
1 Päckchen Vanilla sugar
Icing sugar

Preparation (4 steps)

Mix ingredients and knead dough

Sift 230 g wheat flour, 80 g icing sugar and 1 packet of vanilla pudding powder into the mixing bowl. Add 180 g soft butter and 1 packet of vanilla sugar and knead for 2 min./kneading stage to a smooth dough.

Chill dough

Wrap the dough in cling film and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

Shape and bake crescents

Preheat the oven to 180°C top/bottom heat. Line a baking sheet with baking paper. Take the dough out of the fridge and form small balls. Form crescents from the balls and place on the baking sheet. Bake the crescents for approx. 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
