Description

This hearty currywurst casserole from the Thermomix® is quick to prepare with cheese, onions, garlic, and curry ketchup. This main course in the Casserole category is ready in 35 minutes and yields 4 servings. Ideal as an inexpensive lunch or dinner for the whole family. The working time is about 20 minutes.

Ingredients (13 ingredients)

  • 100 g Cheese (e.g. Gouda), in pieces
  • 1 Stück Onion, halved
  • 1 Stück Garlic clove
  • 20 g Sunflower oil plus a little for frying
  • 30 g Tomato paste
  • 500 g Sieved tomatoes
  • 200 g Water
  • 50 g Curry ketchup
  • 1 TL Salt
  • 3 Prisen Pepper
  • 1 EL Curry powder
  • 400 g Bratwurst, in slices
  • 600 g Gnocchi (refrigerated section)

Preparation (6 steps)

Preheat oven and chop cheese

Preheat the oven to 180°C convection. Place 100 g of cheese (e.g. Gouda) in pieces in the mixing bowl and chop for 7 sec/speed 8 and transfer.

Chop onion and garlic

Place 1 onion, halved, and 1 clove of garlic in the mixing bowl, chop for 5 sec/speed 5 and push down with the spatula.

Sauté onion and garlic

Add 20 g sunflower oil and 30 g tomato paste and sauté for 3 min/120°C/speed 2.

Prepare sauce

Add 500 g sieved tomatoes, 200 g water, 50 g curry ketchup, 1 tsp salt, 3 pinches of pepper and 1 tbsp curry powder and mix for 20 sec/speed 4.

Fry bratwurst

Fry 400 g bratwurst in slices in a separate pan in a little oil.

Layer and bake casserole

Place the bratwurst slices together with 600 g gnocchi in the casserole dish, pour the sauce over and mix. Sprinkle cheese on top and bake in the hot oven for about 25 minutes. Remove and serve.
